I recently purchased a Glidecam 4000 Pro. I have spent approximately 6 hours getting it set up and configured to … well … glide. While I still have some work to do on the configuration, I wanted to take it for a test drive. You know, kick the tires and see how it does on the open road. In this video, I am using the Glidecam in a handheld test. In other words, no expensive support system or vest. I have ordered the vest because holding the weight of the Glidecam and the camera is a bit much for this old man.
Here are the results of my first run of the Glidecam. I wanted to compare a “normal” shoot to the Glidecam to see what it brings to the table. I was pleased!
I need to do more work on the setup to “find the sweet spot,” as many people say, but I’m still pretty impressed with the improvement in the video.

Hi, to start with I want to tell you that I love your blog. Great post, I entirely agree with you. Have a great day maty.
